FAQ

What are the schedules?
Dive schedules are decided on a day-to-day basis depending on the tides, and even if possible depending on the arrival of your flight.
How long does the dive last?
Dives last from 45 to 60 minutes depending on your breathing.
Introductory dive last between 30 and 35 minutes.
Do you provide equipment?
Yes, all branded equipment is made available to divers free of charge.
Safety: where is the nearest decompression chamber?
All our boats are equipped with an oxygen therapy kit. All monitors are trained in first aid and are retrained each year. The closest decompression chamber is in Papeete.
Do you need a medical certificate to dive?
A medical certificate is not mandatory for introductory dive. It is no longer required for exploration dives, but we strongly recommend it.
The medical certificate is mandatory for training and certifications. A medical questionnaire will be required to be filled in before your first dive with us (Download here).
Is Civil Liability Insurance mandatory?

"Coco Dive Tikehau" covers you when you dive or snorkel in our establishment. But we encourage you to take an individual liability insurance. diveassure.

What level is required to dive in Tikehau?
Level 1 or Open Water is sufficient to discover Tikehau's diving sites. The dives are relatively easy and are perfect to regain to dive. For more experienced divers, the groups are adapted and more committed dives are possible.
What is the water temperature?
In Polynesia we dive all year round. The southern summer from November/December to April/May brings temperatures around 29°C. The rest of the year our coldest temperature is 26 ° C!
When can we observe manta rays?
We are fortunate to see manta rays all year round at a "cleaning station". But without us knowing why, they can disappear for several days.
When can we observe tiger sharks?
Tiger sharks can be seen year round.

Price including VAT for the day with ½ board per person :
Adult = 9'700 XPF / 81 EUR
Half Price for children from 3 to 12 years old = 4'850 XPF / 40 EUR
Day trip (bird island, meal on private motu ...)
Adult = 8'500 XPF / 71 EUR
Children from 3 to 12 years old = 5'000XPF / 42 EUR
